Always-on connectivity empowers mobile command units to maintain visibility and control in any conditions

SAN DIEGO & OXNARD, Calif. – April 28, 2026 – PRLog – The City of Oxnard Police Department has enhanced its Mobile Command Post (MCP) capabilities through the deployment of a Starlink-enabled connectivity solution integrated by RadioMobile in collaboration with Armada. The solution delivers reliable, high-bandwidth communications in the field, enabling continuous operations during critical incidents where traditional networks may be limited or unavailable.

“The addition of Starlink to our Mobile Command Post has significantly expanded our available bandwidth and extended our operational coverage in the field,” said Steve Trickle, Special Operations Commander, City of Oxnard. “This gives our teams a more reliable connection during deployments, which is critical for maintaining situational awareness and supporting coordinated response efforts.”

The deployment integrates Starlink Mini into the MCP’s onboard data network, strengthening connectivity across a range of operational environments. By augmenting existing communications infrastructure, the solution ensures that personnel can access and share critical information in real time, regardless of location or network conditions.

As public safety agencies continue to operate in increasingly complex environments, the need for resilient, multi-path connectivity has become essential. Mobile command units must support high data demands, including video, mapping, and incident coordination tools, often in areas where terrestrial coverage is inconsistent.

RadioMobile’s approach focuses on integrating diverse communication technologies into a unified, reliable platform. By combining cellular and satellite connectivity into a single operational network, agencies can maintain continuity of operations without disruption, even in degraded or remote conditions.

“This deployment reflects our continued focus on delivering reliable, field-proven connectivity solutions that support mission-critical operations,” said Jim Moore, CEO at RadioMobile. “We work closely with agencies like the City of Oxnard to ensure their teams have the connectivity they need to operate effectively in any environment.”

The City of Oxnard Police Department’s Mobile Command Post now benefits from expanded coverage and increased bandwidth, providing a scalable foundation for future technology integration and operational growth.
