MCT 8000 - Industry Mobile components
RadioMobile’s latest addition to Mobile computing is our MCT 8000. This two-piece rugged fanless combination utilizes all off the shelf components for ease of upgrade or repair. The processor utilizes new heat pipe technology and safely runs in vehicle environments at 1.3Ghz. The Head is a 10.4” wide array with variable brightness display, touch screen, and built in speakers. Made of metal, the front is simple and sized right for tight installations using U-bracket or ball and mount as shown. RM can supply larger displays as well. Shown is RM’s new 3-D GUI, which will be an update to our existing IQ mobile applications. RadioMobile’s applications run on Windows 2000, NT, XP © or Vista©. Our applications are easy to install and run. The IQ Router application interconnects the customer’s selected network(s) with the RM IQ Mobile application or other third party applications. The IQ Router boasts of its ability to operate in customers’ multi-data speed environments by configuring the software-configured modem for the in-range system. IQ Router also controls GPS reads and routing via the wireless connection or to the Mobile application.

IQ Mobile VB - RadioMobile’s mobile messaging application. Provides the fundamental engine for interfacing with CAD functions, Law Enforcement Queries (NCIC, NLETS etc), Status updating, Mobile messaging as well as interfacing with other applications such as Mapping, AVL reporting and Report Management Systems. IQ Mobile V3, is VB based and makes extensive use of buttons to initiate commands, status updates, form selection and other ancillary actions. Five predefined screen color combinations are provided allowing user to select a day and night scheme. Administrator has password control of formatting screens, color selections, and other primary system functions. Optimized for all network efficiency’s including mobile satellite.

IQ Mobile IE - RadioMobile’s MS IE Browser mobile messaging application. This application has been providing customers host and data base access for the past several years. This full functioned application contains the BOLO application, a revolving display of “wanted” or “missing” that is derived from either FBI files, or local customer sources and is displayed on the right edge of the screen. A customer utility allows any picture or data file to be created along with title bars. The application can be turned off by the operator. Any number of forms are downloadable from the Gateway covering the various agencies using the system. All the RM provided network options are available.

IQ Locator - RadioMobile’s mapping application
IQ Locator is a Server resident map engine permitting one or many Clients to access the map data using many macros for rapid display of favorite queries. Vehicle ID, status, and direction can be depicted for each Icon representing the vehicles.
IQ MAP is the vehicle version of a mapping system. Integrated with both the IQ Mobile mobile application as well as CAD, IQ Map allows the driver to access current location and/or destination along with directions painted both graphically as well as in text if desired. The CAD interface, if utilized, can both place and remove the “where to go” icon on the map. Other functions can be activated at the administrator’s control.

IQ Gateway - RadioMobile’s host interfaces with other software, hardware and corporate networking products. The Gateway controls data to and from mobiles using a wide array of wireless networks both private and public. The Gateway keeps track of message routing and formats the message to the particular destination. Using IP-socket communications method the Gateway can route mobile messages to any number of CADs, Map engines, Databases, applications and enables “queries” by authorized users to State and Federal Law enforcement databases. A mail application can be added for email handling allowing store and forward and mail groups. Another option is the Gateway’s high volume AVL mode. Tailored to favor AVL dominant systems with limited messaging from mobiles the Gateway can route over 14,000 updates per site per hour using dynamic synchronous timeslot assignments for each port or transceiver site. The Gateway runs the extremely reliable Solaris version of UNIX operating system so it can utilize commonly available Intel based server platforms.

Industry LapTops RadioMobile’s applications run on Windows 2000, NT, XP ©. Our applications are easy to install and run. The IQ Router application interconnects the customers selected network(s) with RM IQ Mobile application or other third party applications. While not as rugged and upgradeable and generally not installed in an Airbag compliant manner, as is RM’s MCT 1000, they are often a price choice for many agencies. Minimum requirements are: 500mhz or better processor, 256Mb memory, and 10Gb hard drive, or better.

Wedge – MCT 1000. RadioMobile’s Windows® based mobile platform. The Wedge is airbag compliant, portable unit with sunlight readable backlight TFT display and touch screen. The wedge utilizes industrial processors available from several sources and upgradeable to current mobile processing speeds (1.2Ghz current) and chip sets for USB and wireless modules. Since individual modules are utilized any component can be upgraded as user needs require, allowing it to take advantage of new wireless technologies, processors and communication interfaces. Equipped with optional digital camera and magnetic card reader the wedge has been in operation for over four years in extreme climates.

CMX 6000RadioMobile’s CMX short messaging, status head is targeted at fire, emergency and transportation fleets, where dispatch messaging, message creation and status reporting is desired. The RM Battery monitor will serve this purpose. Other devices include the selection of the proper mobile communications antenna and GPS antenna. RM provides lab facilities to evaluate customers configurations, as well as third party equipment for compatibility and purpose.

RadioMobile utilizes its lab and repair facilities to support our customers products ranging in vintage from the early 1990’s to present day technology. Every piece of repaired equipment is bench tested and QA’d on a live RF network. This includes all AVL –GPS related equipment where live updates and reports are obtained. Mobile terminals, modems, In-vehicle controllers. IQ Locator, Gateways and all software go through the three step process. Developer, QA in lab, QC on live system.

RadioMobile’s live system allows developers, test personnel and repair stations to access live on the air systems using VHF, UHF, 800 base stations, multiple modem speeds, Wireless 802.11 devices and 1xRtt networks, driving CAD simulators for access and response testing.
This same environment is used to test our customers third party products as well as our own Software releases. The facility houses the satellite L-Band server with off-site redundant server all operating on UPS power support.
